What could slow callbacks be costing in cases?

Set your own numbers. The estimate is deliberately cautious: it only counts the share of slow or missed leads you could realistically win back.

Illustrative only. The sums are: leads per week × 4.33 × share not reached in five minutes × share you could win back × signing rate × 12 months × average fee. All inputs are yours; none are SouthSeas Marketing results or promises. Real outcomes depend on your intake process, case mix and market, and are worked out with you in the audit.

How does the calculator work?

  1. New leads per week × 4.33 gives leads per month.
  2. Multiply by the share not reached within five minutes to get slow or missed leads.
  3. Multiply by the share you could realistically win back.
  4. Multiply by your signing rate, then by 12, to get extra signed cases per year.
  5. Multiply by your average fee per signed case to get fee value per year.

What does the default example show?

With the defaults, 25 leads a week, 40% not reached in five minutes, a 10% signing rate, 20% winnable and an $8,000 average fee, slow leads number about 43 a month and the estimate is about 10 extra cases and $83,000 in fees a year. These defaults are placeholders, not benchmarks. Replace them with your own numbers.

How do you find your real inputs?

  • Leads per week: count new enquiries from every source for four weeks.
  • Share not reached within five minutes: log arrival time and first personal reply for each lead. Our speed-to-lead guide shows how.
  • Signing rate: signed cases divided by reached leads.
  • Average fee: the mean fee across recently closed cases.

Questions

Common questions

Leads per week × 4.33 weeks × the share not reached within five minutes × the share you could win back × your signing rate × 12 months × your average fee per signed case.

Not every slow lead would have signed even with a fast call. The win-back share keeps the estimate cautious. The default is 20%, and you can change it.

Leads per week and signing rate come from your case management or intake log. Average fee per signed case comes from your closed files. If you do not track the share not reached within five minutes, measure it for a month first.
